This wine adventure will be hosted by The Wine Company NI who are a family business established in 1995. Head Wine Buyer Gilles will be your guide for an evening of fine wines and tasty small plates.
Our talented team of chefs have created a perfect pairing menu using locally sourced ingredients to accompany the wines. On arrival you will be greeted by a glass of sparkle and a small bite. This will set the scene of what will be a fun evening with food and wine. What could be better?!
About The Wine Company Northern Ireland
The company was started by Larry Creaney in 1995. Today the company is run by his daughter Elaine and her husband Barry. Their son Tiarnan works full time in the family business and all the other kids, nieces, nephews, and uncles are often seen across their 8 stores throughout the region! They are a true Family business with family and community ethos.
For over 20 years, The Wine Company NI has pursued wines from quality family-owned estates from around the world. Their extensive wine portfolio is sourced with great care and selected to provide the best quality they can find for our discerning customers.
Their criteria are that these estates produce premium wines of true regional and national character so that their prices represent good value and provide a unique wine drinking experience.
About your host Gilles, from The Wine Company Northern Ireland
Gilles originally from France, has worked for the company as Head Wine Buyer for over 20 years. He is an authentic wine expert who takes great pride in importing quality wines into Northern Ireland. Gilles has contacts in independent wineries all over the world which allows The Wine Company NI to offer unique and surprising wines to their customers. Picture an expert with enthusiasm, endless knowledge, and a glass in is hand. That is Gilles!
Although Gilles tends to favour French wines for obvious reasons, we have ensured the wines for your tasting evening will come from various European regions!
